Summary of Position:

The Mechanical Assembler Technician is responsible for installing components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies on the production line. The Technician will also perform mechanical tasks as they apply to production or repairs ofequipment / product and engage in diagnosing and troubleshooting as required. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and manufacturing background, experience following standards and reading prints, and thrive in a fast pace repetitive environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of demonstrated mechanical assembly and / or maintenance aptitude required.
  • Accredited certificate in heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to manage time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures.
  • Ability to properly utilize required PPE.
  • Ability to safely utilize hand tools.
  • Demonstrate quality work through accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
  • Exhibits efficiency in problem solving by identifying & resolving problems in a timely manner.
  • Exhibits adaptability by positive response to frequent change, delays, or unexpected occurrences.
  • Contributes to building and participating in a positive team environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret drawings / specifications and work instructions.
  • Installs required components utilizing current assembly practices.
  • Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, operational testing, repairs, in-depth troubleshooting and diagnosing, and training of other personnel.
  • Operates and effectively uses hand and power tools and all applicable measure equipment.
  • Tracks each component as installed.
  • Organizes, coordinates and cleans workstation.
  • Maintains a personal commitment to the Liberty safety culture.
  • Completes any required assembly paperwork.

Working Conditions/Environment:
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Shop & outside work as required.
  • Regularly exposure to cold, heat, dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, reaching, etc. with arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Requires frequent repetitive motion, i.e., turning wrenches, hammering, screwdrivers, impact tools, etc.
  • Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
  • Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet above ground level.
  • Will be required to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. properly and safely.

Salary:

$20/HR - $40/HR

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
